MNCBG + DCTC DIVERSITY IN BREWING SCHOLARSHIP

THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDING

The MNCBG invites the people and businesses of Minnesota to join us in supporting a diverse and inclusive craft beer industry in Minnesota. The MNCBG and our partners are establishing “Diversity In Brewing” scholarships at the Dakota County Technical College for their Brewing and Beer Steward Technology Certificate Program.

The goal of these scholarships are twofold:

  • To actively contribute to a brewing industry that reflects the diversity of our great state, and
  • To support the educational goals of people who are currently under-represented in our industry by eliminating financial barriers.

“Diversity In Brewing” scholarships will be open to women, people of color, LGBTQ and non-binary people, and the disabled community. A scholarship application will be available to qualifying students for the Fall 2020 term.

For the next year, we will be seeking contributions from the craft beer community to sustain this scholarship. The MNCBG will be contributing a portion of our festival proceeds to this scholarship; we ask our members to also donate what they are able.

Donors will receive recognition on this page and on our social channels.

Donating is a tangible way to support the future of craft beer in Minnesota.

Donation Levels

Pilsner – $100

Pale Ale – $300

IPA – $500

Stout – $1,000

Best in Show – $4,000

When donating, in the “Other Information” field, please note ‘Diversity in Brewing Scholarship’.

MNCBG SPRING & FALL SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are evaluated on the content and time frame of a class, and the direct educational benefit to applicant/brewery, and application content.
