Brewers Day at the MN Capitol
All Members are invited to the April 21, 2026 Brewers Day at the MN Capitol, our industry’s day to advocate at the MN State Capitol on the issues that matter most to your business! RSVP Here by April 17. Due to the timing of the event this year, the Capitol will be busy! If you wait until the last minute to RSVP, your legislators are much less likely to be available for you to speak with. RSVP as soon as you’re able, to give us a chance to book you while they’re still available!
How It Works
- Industry Members (any position) RSVP on this form by April 17 with your business and/or home districts
- We set up meetings with your legislators (or their offices) for April 21
- Attend a short training the morning of April 21, where we provide handouts, cheat sheets, and answers to your questions
- You, along with other brewery staff in your district, attend your meetings. If your legislator is a strategically important one, our staff may attend with you!
- Join everyone, including legislative office staff for a happy hour after
Why Attending This Event Is Crucial
Your participation is crucial to the advocacy capabilities of this industry! Legislators need to hear from you about the policy changes that you’d like to see happen, and know that you’re watching how they vote on issues that matter to your business. Elected officials remember who took the time to come and engage with them at the Capitol, and they remember which industries show up at days like this.
Back in ’22, the Guild decided to invest in our first-ever full-time internal staff/lobbyist, dedicated to industry advocacy. We felt this was crucial after years of grassroots advocacy and external contractors didn’t get the results you needed. Now, our Director of Government and Industry Relations is hard at work fighting for you, and the Guild is passing and advising on more legislation year over year than ever before. But one lobbyist can’t do it alone. Legislators simply care most about jobs-makers, employees, and residents in their own districts. As they should. Your participation on one day each year, can help open doors, secure meetings, and bring key legislators to the table to discuss industry issues.
To generate significant and necessary change for this industry, we have to have legislative muscle, good relationships, and member engagement! (A donation to the MN Craft Brew PAC doesn’t hurt, either!). Please plan to attend Brewers Day at the MN Capitol this year, and every year.
